Rin is a Skill Point economy character. Her Talent converts every SP consumed or recovered by any ally into Gem Energy, and once she accumulates 15 Gem Energy (or the team has 7+ SP), her Skill upgrades into a devastating multi-hit nuke. The more SP your team cycles, the harder she hits.

What makes her truly unique is the Archer synergy. If Archer is on the team, Rin's Trace passively increases the max SP cap by 2 (from 5 to 7), both she and Archer gain 150% ATK and 20% DEF Ignore, and they can launch a powerful Joint Follow-Up Attack that recovers 4 SP.

Deals Quantum DMG equal to 225% of ATK to a single enemy.

This is the base version that costs 1 SP. It's a decent single-target hit, but you don't want to use this version if you can avoid it. The whole point of Rin's kit is to upgrade this into Second Magic Experiment.

๐Ÿ’ฅ Enhanced Skill: Second Magic Experiment

Deals Quantum DMG equal to 112% of ATK to all enemies, then fires jewel bombs that each deal 112.5% of ATK to a random enemy. Consumes 3 Gem Energy per bomb. Repeats until Gem Energy drops below 3 or all enemies are dead. Maximum 33 bounces.

Before firing, if current SP is above 2, all excess SP is consumed and converted into Gem Energy at a 1:2 ratio. This means going into Enhanced Skill with 7 SP converts 5 SP into 10 Gem Energy before the bounces even start.

The theoretical maximum on a single target is staggering. Assuming all sources stack without a cap: 20 Gem Energy (base) + 10 (Technique) + 12 (Ultimate Trace) + 10 (SP conversion from 5 excess SP) = 52 Gem Energy.

That's 17 bounces at 112.5% each, plus the 112% AoE opener. Theoretical total: 112% + 17 ร— 112.5% = 2,024.5% ATK before CRIT DMG bonuses, Vulnerability, and DEF Ignore.

Note that this is a best-case calculation; actual Gem Energy accumulation per rotation will depend on team SP cycling speed and whether any per-instance caps exist that haven't surfaced in beta data yet.

In multi-target scenarios, the bounces spread across enemies, making her excellent for wave content like Pure Fiction.

๐Ÿ’ก Gameplay Tip: Always use Ultimate before Enhanced Skill. The Ultimate's Trace grants 12 Gem Energy, its base effect recovers 1 SP, and the 25% Vulnerability debuff amplifies every subsequent bounce. Sequence: Ultimate โ†’ Enhanced Skill โ†’ collect Gem Energy from allies โ†’ repeat.

Deals Quantum DMG equal to 750% of ATK to one designated enemy and 250% of ATK to all other enemies. Recovers 1 SP and increases DMG taken by all enemies by 25% for 3 turns.

At 160 Energy cost, her Ultimate requires some investment in Energy management, but the payoff is enormous. The 25% Vulnerability debuff applied before your Enhanced Skill turn means every single one of those 33 potential bounces hits 25% harder. The 1 SP recovery also feeds back into her Gem Energy via Talent.

With the Inbound Prosperity Trace, using Ultimate also grants 12 Gem Energy directly, making it a critical setup tool.

๐Ÿงฌ Talent: Gem Magecraft

When entering combat, gains 20 Gem Energy. When any ally consumes or recovers SP, Rin's CRIT DMG increases by 125% for 2 turns. For every 1 SP consumed or recovered, gains 1 Gem Energy. At 15+ Gem Energy or 7+ current SP, Skill enhances.

This is the engine. The 125% CRIT DMG buff is practically permanent in any team that cycles SP regularly (which is every functional team). And because the buff triggers on both consumption AND recovery, abilities like Sparkle's SP generation or Huohuo's Energy restore all count.

The Gem Energy accumulation is passive and automatic. You don't need to do anything special. Just play normally, cycle SP, and watch the counter climb.

๐Ÿค Talent (Secondary): Freeform Tohsaka Style

After Archer uses his Skill "Caladbolg II," if there are 3 or fewer SP, Rin and Archer launch a Joint Follow-Up Attack on all enemies. Rin deals 375% ATK Quantum DMG, Archer deals 375% ATK of his own damage type. Recovers 4 SP. Triggers once per Rin turn.

This is the signature Fate collab mechanic. The joint attack deals massive AoE damage, refunds 4 SP (which generates 4 Gem Energy and re-triggers the CRIT DMG buff), and looks incredible.

The โ‰ค3 SP condition is naturally met after Rin burns through SP with her Enhanced Skill. The once-per-Rin-turn limit is inferred from beta gameplay patterns and has not been explicitly confirmed in datamined text.

Gains 10 Gem Energy at the start of the next combat.

Simple and effective. Always use this before entering a fight. The 10 extra Gem Energy means you start at 30 instead of 20, translating to roughly 3 extra bounces on your first Enhanced Skill.

Elegant Conduct is one of the most loaded Traces in the game. The +2 SP cap is massive for team building, the 150% ATK buff is applied unconditionally, and sharing the full effect with Archer turns him into a significantly stronger sub-DPS just by existing on the team.

At S5, Flickering Stars is exceptional. The 30% CRIT Rate is a premium stat line, the 60% Skill DMG directly amplifies her Enhanced Skill bounces, and the Radiant Crown passive stacks with her Trace's 20% DEF Ignore for a combined 70% DEF Ignore at S5.

At S1, the numbers are already strong: 18% CRIT Rate, 36% Skill DMG, and 30% total DEF Ignore (10% team-wide + 20% personal, stacking with the Trace's 20% for 50% combined at S1). The 4+ SP consumption condition is trivially met when Rin uses her Enhanced Skill (which dumps all SP above 2).
